PPLD's summer reading program

  • The theme this year is "You Are Here."
  • The program is structured like last year: teens will need to read 9 novels total. After each set of three, they will receive a prize. There will also be a bonus game, which will ask teens to do a number of different things, including participating in some library events and being a tourist in their own town.
  • According to PPLD “teens” are between the ages of 12-18, but for the summer reading program they consider anyone going into 5th grade and higher a teen. (Those going into 5th can choose between the teen SRP or Children’s, but they only get to do one program.)
  • The program will start on June 1st and end July 31st. There will be no early registration.
  • The program is free.
  • Teens don’t need to have a library card to participate.
  • For more information go to the PPLD website or the Teen Zone section of PPLD's website.
